Dana before
TotalBeauty.com reader Dana wants to update her look without having to fuss with it much. "I'm so lazy in the mornings; I normally just put my hair in a ponytail!" she says, admitting she's willing to spend more time getting ready for night. See how her "before" look gets an easy transformation for both day and night.

The color
Colorist Scheib took inspiration for Dana's new beachy, California-blonde highlights from the natural blonde color common in children. "Look how this color brightens her complexion and gives it life," he says. Don't forget to use color-protecting products after coloring your hair.

The cut
"I'm bringing her hair up to her shoulders and am layering it to create shape and movement," says stylist Perez. "We'll do a side-swept bang; she had bangs for a while and we're going to change it up." The shorter, face-framing layers allow her facial features to shine. The day makeup look
She wants an all-day, natural look that can easily transform for evening, so I'm concentrating on her beautiful eyes, then am using primer and foundation (such as me by Mezhgan Luminous Me Primer and Foundation duo, $49) to even out her skin," Mezhgan says. Dana feels plagued by dark circles, so Mezhgan recommends patting -- not rubbing -- on a concealer (try NARS Concealer, $22) that's the same color as your foundation but in a thicker consistency. Bronze eye shadow (such as Urban Decay Eyeshadow in Baked, $16) is versatile, looks natural and makes blue eyes pop.

The night makeup look
For glamour and drama, Mezhgan focuses on Dana's eyes, layering mascara (we love L'Oreal Telescopic Carbon Black Mascara, $8.29) on both top and bottom lashes, applying deep brown eye shadow with a hint of sparkle (try MAC Eye Shadow in Twinks, $14.50), and lining lids with black liner (try Prestige Khol Eyeliner, $3.99).

Makeover dream team -- American Idol lead makeup-artist Mezhgan, and stylists Paul Perez and Leland Ferrell and colorist Adam Scheib from the Sally Hershberger salon in Los Angeles -- give Web designer Dana a pretty-yet-easy-to-maintain beauty update. See how you too can transform your look without adding minutes to your routine.
