Fine lines
There are many understood rules that fall under guy code. For example, theres the one about a man not cock-blocking another man. Even less talked about is the one about a dude determining if he likes a girl based on how well he thinks shell age. If your date subscribes to this code, fine lines are definitely not in your favor. To minimize the appearance of unwanted creases, use a silicone-based primer (try Lumene Crystal Radiance Skin Tone Perfector, $10). It will fill lines and allow for makeup to go on smoother. In addition, if you have dry skin, be sure to moisturize regularly as dryness accentuates wrinkles.

Frizzy hair
When prepping for a date, dont neglect your mane. A man might not notice a purse, but he will appreciate a beautiful head of hair. It should be soft, shiny and ready for action at any moment. To rid frizz, apply an anti-frizz serum (try Frizz Ease Thermal Protection Serum, $8.99) on damp hair. If youve got curls, diffuse your hair dry. For straight locks, use a dryer, blowing the air downwards at a 45-degree angle. Get extra protection by misting your brush with an anti-static spray (try Graham Webb Stick Straight Smoothing Spray, $13.95) and brushing through hair.

Unkempt nails
Nail biters beware. Stubby nails are as unbecoming on a woman as it to see a guy with his finger up his nose. Men are extremely aware of hands, and if yours are unkempt, theyre less likely to reach out and touch. To help your nails grow, paint on a protein-enriched nail growth product (try Sally Hansen Salon Nail Growth Protein, $8) and keep your hands supple by applying moisturizer post wash.

Face fuzz
Chivalry isnt dead, but it has faded. Gone are the days when the man paid for you, no questions asked, and he picked you up at your doorstep. However, one thing remains the same: men want to feel macho and hold their own. Unfortunately, women with extra face fuzz are not considered as feminine and can throw off his game. Heavy or dark hair around the lips and sideburns can create shadows. Remove excess facial hair with an at-home wax. Choose a gentle, honey-based formula (try Gigi Azulene Wax, $11.54).

Big nose
Its always important to accentuate your best feature. If your nose isnt it, you can do just the opposite and minimize it. All it takes to make your nose look smaller is to employ a great makeup technique known as contouring. Take a foundation that is one shade deeper than your skin tone. Using an angled brush, start at the outer edge of your nostril and sweep the foundation up in a straight line along the side of your nose. Finish by brushing a highlighter along the bridge of the nose to make it appear even narrower.
