Adams has amazing red hair and while she's often seen wearing it in long, loose waves, we think she should pull it up for such a grand occasion. This elegant bun is sophisticated and grounded (kinda like her personality).

Natalie Portman
Perhaps the most anticipated look of the night will be Portman's, as she is the favorite to win Best Actress for her role in "Black Swan." And what belle of the ball wouldn't look chic in classic retro-inspired updo like this one stolen from a previous Oscar winner?

Claire Danes
Danes always dazzles and we expect her look at this occasion to be no different. We would love to see her sweep her blonde hair up into a stylish wave for a more daring overall look.

Hilary Swank
Our prediction for Swank's hairstyle? A voluminous chignon, which will give her whole look a soft, feminine finish. We love this classic, no-fail style.

Anne Hathaway
Hathaway either wears her hair down and softly tousled or up with a sleek and contoured finish. This year, why not go all out and mix and match the two? We think she should do a pretty half up style with a bit of volume at the crown and curl at the ends.

What is it about human nature that makes us want to predict everything?
From the weekly weather forecast to our upcoming astrological year or even the world's demise come 2012 (thanks for that one Mayans) -- we just have to know what's in store for us.
The 2011 "Academy Awards" aren't much different. But unlike your super competitive "who will win what" office poll (you know, the one you NEVER win), we want to predict which hairstyles will be worn. Why? Because it's a whole lot of fun and, hello, we're a beauty website!
Perhaps we also like to make grand guesses about celebrity hairstyles because we want to be in control. And when we're feeling extra delusional, we like to believe that maybe, just maybe, a mentioned celebrity will see the hairstyle we have predicted for them and actually heed the advice.
OK, OK, we know that likely won't happen, but at least making these Oscar hairstyle predictions gives us purpose in life (don't judge).
