A Microexfoliant for Oh-So-Soft Skin
Try: Clinique for Men Face Scrub, $21

Since men's skin is typically thicker and less sensitive than women's, we don't always need the same deep-cleansing face wash that they do. However, every now and then our faces need a serious scrub, and the best way to achieve that is with this awesome face scrub for men. Using non-abrasive, superfine grains, this formula removes any dead skin or debris from the surface of the skin while still being gentle enough for those of us who don't have a beard as a protective layer.

To Take the Sting Out of Nicks and Cuts
Try: Clubman Styptic Pencil, $2

While women might not be shaving their face regularly like men, they're still likely shaving somewhere, which means that tiny nicks and cuts are happening for women too. Although this product is marketed towards men, it seals off the surface of scrapes and cuts from razors just as flawlessly for women, meaning those lotions you apply afterwards won't get into the cut (can we talk about how terrible that burn is?).

When Your Hands Need Extra T.L.C.
Try: Jack Black Industrial Strength Hand Healer, $15

Men aren't the only ones who work callous-inducing jobs, but while men have this inexpensive, ultra-strong hand cream to heal their cracked skin, options for women are pretty much limited to light formulas with candy- or floral scents that cost upwards of $20. Luckily, this hand cream is not only cheaper, it uses ingredients like vitamin A and E, eucalyptus and glycerin -- which are typically found in women's lotions too -- to soften those palms. Bonus: Very little product goes a long way, so you'll be able to put off buying a new one for quite some time.

For Seriously On-Fleek Brows
Try: Mountaineer Mustache Wax, $13

Before you toss this product aside as irrelevant to women, know that men use mustache wax for more than just their beards -- namely, their eyebrows. Take a page out of their book and use it to tame unruly brows without having to use a gel, pomade or powder afterwards. The soft formula will give brows a slight sheen while also keeping them in place.

For Sleek, Glossy Updos
Try: Kevin Murphy Free.Hold, $25

Whether you're a fan of sleek ponytails or a frizz-free updo, this product gives hair enough grip to stay in place for hours while also providing a natural shine. Smooth the formula onto your hair before sweeping it up into a high ponytail for a red carpet-worthy, glossy finish. As a bonus, this styling creme includes essences of bergamot and vanilla so your hair won't smell too masculine after using it.

If you've ever swiped your husband or boyfriend's toiletries to use for yourself, you know that many of their products work just as well -- or even better -- as your own. Surprisingly, many women's products cost more and aren't necessarily better than the men's version, with the only difference being packaging. Sure, the idea is that each gender's allocated products cater to the needs and preferences of the sex that they're geared towards, but when it comes down to the nitty-gritty, most of these products are almost identical.

Although, the sad truth is that while men and women's toiletries may be created equally, they certainly don't match when it comes to their in-store value. According to U.S. News & World Report, women pay a premium price for products (think razors or shower gel

that are essentially exactly the same as their male counterparts. Talk about unfair.

Considering that many men's products are just as efficient and possibly even cheaper than their feminine equivalents, we can't help but want to cycle a few male toiletries into our routine. So, save a few bucks by either borrowing these awesome products from your guy or purchasing them on your own. Either way, you won't be disappointed.
