Hold the Oil
What can't apple cider vinegar do? You know it's healthy in your salad, but it can also work wonders in your hair. The acid in apple cider vinegar is a natural clarifier that removes product build-up and leaves hair shiny and smooth. To add ACV to your beauty routine, combine 1/4 cup of ACV with 16 ounces of water in a spray bottle. Spritz on (especially at the roots or other greasy areas) and let sit for 3 minutes. Rinse thoroughly and condition.

Tea Time
There's a herb for everything - even your hair! Black, green and rooibus tea leaves can all act as different rinses to improve hair. Black tea is great for restoring shine, green tea works well to strengthen hair while promoting growth and rooibus provides depth to light brown or red hair. You can also tailor your rinse even more by choosing specific herbs (chamomile is great for dry hair, for example). To use a tea rinse, brew a strong batch of tea (about one quart) and massage through hair after shampooing. No need to rinse - the tea will also leave a calming scent on your hair.

Suds Up
In addition to alcohol, beer is chock full of protein and vitamins that hair loves. To strengthen hair with a bottle of brew, let beer sit until it's flat at room temperature. Pour over shampooed hair and then rinse thoroughly before conditioning.

Wake Up and Wash
Give your senses a jolt and naturally condition hair with a coffee rinse. Just brew an extra cup with your usual morning coffee, let it sit until it's room temperature and dilute in 16 ounces of warm water before rinsing after washing.

Beach in the Bathroom
Keep the ocean in a bottle with a salt rinse. Just like an afternoon at the beach, this rinse will texturize and define hair. Just add a teaspoon of salt to a spray bottle full of warm water and spritz after washing. You can also add sea salt directly to your shampoo for even more texture.

Get Clarity
Rosemary smells amazing--and it's great for boosting limp strands or making curly hair more manageable. To make a rosemary rinse, bring 4 springs of organic rosemary to a boil and then let water and rosemary cool. Once your concoction is room temperature, strain and add 5-8 drops of rosemary oil. In the shower, let the rosemary rinse penetrate hair for 5 minutes before washing.

Go coco-nuts
For ultra-hydrated hair, massage a scoop of raw coconut oil through warm, wet strands. The protein and amino acids in the oil will add shine and strengthen hair to prevent split ends.
