The Best Diet For Healthy Skin

Try these foods for healthier, brighter skin

Not enough people realize that it is important to have a good diet for healthy skin. Expensive lotions and creams will not be able to repair all the damage that you put your skin through, and most often what you put inside your body is responsible for your outside appearance. By simply monitoring what you eat and consuming certain foods more often, youll be doing your skin a huge favor.

Eating healthy does not have to be boring. There are many great foods out there that are good for your skin and taste good. They key to finding the right diet for healthy skin is to make sure you eat a variety of foods from different food groups that are high in vitamins. Dairy products, preferably of the low fat variety, are important for your skin cells, due to their high amount of Vitamin A. Foods such as low-fat yogurt are not only good for your skin but they are also good for intestinal health.

Fruits such as blueberries and blackberries are extremely high in antioxidants and phytochemicals, which protect your skin cells from damage due to outside factors such as the sun. These fruits are a particularly important part of a diet for healthy skin because of their anti-aging properties as well. Foods like Salmon and Flax Seed are full of fatty acids, which are important for healthy skin as well. The essential fatty acids make up healthy cell membranes, which serve as blockades to keep harmful things out of the body, while allowing nutrients to enter. The stronger your cell membranes are, the more plump and youthful your skin will appear. As an added bonus, these fatty acids also offer protection against heart disease.
