I liked it a lot! Used in moderation, it doesn't weigh down hair at all.

Sad to say, but I never got to use my sample. The little packet it came in was split and it leaked all through the padded envelope it was mailed in. I cannot give a review of it's ability as there was no oil to use.

My hair has never had much problem being soft, so I didn't notice any difference there, but I used it to moisturize the ends and keep frizz at bay. This worked pretty well, but is very similar in effect to other shine serums, or just plain hair oil.
