This works as a spray gel to slick my hair back (for a few hours, anyways), but I definitely would not claim this lifts hair at the roots whatsoever. More like settles it down.

I just had my hair cut in a shoulder length layered look and needed something to help control frizz and define my layers. This hairspray worked like a charm! My hair stays soft and natural looking but behaves itself when using this!

It smells lovely, it isn't too sticky, it doesn't leave my hair helmet hard, and it's Pantene - can't go wrong there!

i don't think this gives me much of a root lift or volume. it does work for when you want a tousled, diffused look though
