Though it's not terribly surprising for a fashion house to launch its own fragrance — Gucci, Ralph Lauren, and Tom Ford are just a few of many — it's definitely not as common to see a fragrance brand collaborate with an entirely unaffiliated fashion company. Aerin Lauder (known for her floral, feminine scents) and Rebecca Hessel Cohen of LoveShackFancy have proven it can be done beautifully. The two worked together on Aerin's latest fragrance, Wild Geranium, which is available in both a hair mist and EDP, and also on LoveShackFancy's Spring 2020 capsule collection. It's all quite divine.
It has yet to come to fruition, but WWD reports that designer Carolina Herrera has officially announced she's launching a makeup collection. Not just any makeup collection, though. True to Herrera's form, the product packaging will be inspired by vintage jewelry. In an interview with WWD, the brand's creative director Wes Gordon says, "Mrs. Herrera is a big fan of vintage jewelry and has the most amazing collection, so that in part sparked the idea of mimicking precious objects for the design. We wanted each product to double up as something eye-catching that you could wear and have a conversation piece at the same time." Vogue snapped some pictures backstage at NYFW of the collection if you want a sneak peak. To say we're excited would be a major understatement!
