Who Should Try a Waist Trainer?
Waist training is typically for anyone who is looking to define their figure and enhance their silhouette to bring their best features into focus. However, individuals need to be realistic about waist training results because, again, waist training won't lead to weight loss on its own.

How Do I Start Waist Training?
"Most people start out wearing one for an hour or two a day and gradually increase the length of time they have one on," explains Soto. Usually the adjustment period takes a couple of weeks before people eventually wear them for eight to 12 hours a day." Before purchasing your own waist trainer, Ruben Soto believes that it's absolutely vital to find one that fits correctly. It should feel snug, but your waist trainer should not pinch or cause numbness or pain. In severe cases, that extreme discomfort can cause internal damage.

Waist Training Results: The Verdict
If you're looking to lose a pound or two of water weight, improve posture and add some extra motivation into an already healthy lifestyle, a waist trainer could give you the results you desire. Unfortunately, if you're looking for a shortcut to weight loss without having to invest in a fitness- and healthy diet-based lifestyle, a waist trainer simply won't work. Waist training should be viewed as a supplement to healthy habits -- not as a replacement. Picture it this way: If you stopped eating healthy food and exercising, a tight piece of clothing won't be able to maintain your body's slender shape. It takes much more effort than that.
