Laura Sanchez
Up-and-coming beauty vlogger Laura Sanchez made her mark this past year when she won the 2016 NYX Face Awards and claimed the title as Beauty Vlogger of the Year. The Colombian beauty is a Los Angeles-based makeup artist who specializes in both beauty and special effects makeup. In fact, in one of her first NYX Face Awards challenges, Sanchez rendered herself completely unrecognizable by recreating the faun from Pan's Labyrinth. Her other top-videos include a sugar skull makeup tutorial (which any skill level can recreate) and a tutorial about how to correctly apply eyeliner for your eye shape.

Kandee Johnson
Kandee Johnson is like the super cool aunt we all wish we had. Fun, down to earth, and of course, a makeup magician, Johnson is an LA-based celebrity makeup artist, who you've probably seen on shows like "Good Morning America" and "The Late Show" or maybe even heard in the "Trolls" movie. Her specialty is celebrity transformations, and we love how she seems to find humor in everything. One example? To bring some levity to last year's particularly negativity-laden election season, Johnson took it upon herself to create a hilarious video where she transformed herself into Donald Trump and Hilary Clinton. Regardless of your political leanings, we bet it'll elicit a giggle or two. A few of her other greatest hits include a Glitterati lip tattoo video, Barbie Doll Makeup Transformation and an Angelina Jolie transformation.

James Charles
We probably don't have to explain why this beautiful boy made the list, but in case you've been living under a rock, James Charles recently became the first male face of CoverGirl. Aside from being the brand's poster child, the 17-year-old is known for his ultra-glam makeup (seriously, his highlight is always on point) and adorable freckles.

His 1.3 million Instagram followers also love his out-of-the-box makeup. He creates stunning works of art that look like they belong in a museum of natural artifacts. Case in point? This stunning crystallized amethyst makeup Charles debuted when he hit one million followers on his Instagram account. Charles is a true and confident artist in every sense of the word, just look at this painting he created on the back of one of his friends. As for his confidence and poise, they are well beyond his 17 years.

Jaleesa Moses
YouTube Star and Ipsy stylist Jaleesa Moses tackles what many do not: curly hair. In-between her makeup tutorials, the beauty guru teaches her close to a million subscribers how to rock curls of all shapes and sizes.

In addition to saving her followers' manes, Moses inspires her viewers to embrace who they really are beneath their hair and makeup by discussing important subjects, like depression, anxiety and self-confidence, between her tutorials. In a world full of pretty faces, Moses is one of few influencers who also focuses on inner beauty and the importance of self-love.

Ingrid Nilsen
Ingrid Nilsen is the ultimate boss babe. She runs a supersuccessful YouTube channel, where she frequently features lazy-girl hairstyle tutorials and "get ready with me" videos. While Nilsen keeps her beauty and lifestyle videos lighthearted and fun (just like her), she's also not afraid to get real with her followers. After openly coming out on her channel in 2015, Nilsen has quickly become the face of the LGBTQ community in the beauty world. As if that didn't keep her busy enough, Nilsen also starred as a judge on "Project Runway: Threads" and was recently named the face of BareMinerals' Original Foundation. If anyone is on her A-game, it's Nilsen.
