You Need These Stylish (and Comfy) Shoes

Our favorite fashion influencers show how to pull off a throwback favorite

It's been 10 years since the series finale of Sex and the City and I still dream about Carrie Bradshaw's fictional shoe closet. Girl has her fair share of covetable designer footwear, but it's her collection of slip-on mules that makes me most envious.

The comfy, slide-on-and-go shoes have been popping up on fashion week runways year after year, but this year's shows took the "ugly" shoe trend to new heights. Designers showed furry versions of the '90s classic, high-cut pairs resembling boots and even pom-pom adorned pairs. Here, eight mules we'd gladly store in our dream closets.

With Fringe on Top
Chunky-heeled mules seem more office-appropriate than strappy heels when paired with shorts. Fringe detailing gives The Corporate Catwalk blogger Olivia Trewatha's basic black leather mules extra style points.

Walk on the Wild Side
Miranda Kerr's face pops up on my Pinterest feed about every five minutes, thanks to her killer street style. Her combo of white jeans, striped top and animal-print mules is my favorite Kerr look yet. (For wishlist purposes, these are Miu Miu Leopard-Print Calf Hair Mules.)

Everyday Glamour
Unexpected details can add drama to the most basic outfits. Give a standard jeans-and-T look some edge with gilded mules and a vibrant purse like Sincerely Jules blogger Julie Sarinana wore.

The catwalks aren't the only place to scout new styles. These architectural Céline mules were spotted on the street during Paris Fashion Week. Le sigh.
