The Hot New Print for Cold Weather

There's a pattern among fall's hottest accessories: buffalo check. Here, a few favorite looks

Nailed It
Our favorite way to modestly incorporate a new trend: nail art. Nail blogger (and author of the book 500 Nail Designs: Inspired and Inventive Looks for Every Mood and Occasion) Chelsea Franklin created this buffalo check nail look using two coats of China Glaze Nail Lacquer in With Love. Next, Franklin used a stamping tool to create the black plaid pattern. Try the look with an all-black ensemble for an unexpected pop of pattern.

Just a Hint
You don't need head-to-toe buffalo check to make a statement. Even the tiniest bit of bold red and black goes a long way. Style blogger Shanna Schneider of Because Shanna Said So accessorizes the perfect fall look with this buffalo check scarf. (We love this Rag & Bone wool scarf.)

The Big Chill
Christina Caradona, the style blogger behind Trop Rouge, makes us want to add fingerless gloves to our fall shopping lists immediately. These buffalo check gloves perfect that fashionable grunge look.

Cap It Off
Baseball caps used to just be a convenient way to cover up a bad hair day, but more designers have begun to offer fancy leather and patterned caps. Marche Robinson of Robinson Style adds color to her neutral look with a buffalo check baseball cap and a red lip.

Coordinated Color
Fashion 101 says monochromatic looks are statement-making, but we argue this red-and-black look is equally stunning. Kat Tanita of With Love From Kat accessorizes her red and black look with a cashmere J.Crew scarf.
