Ribbed turtleneck sweaters, fringe skirts and an array of jackets ranging from shearling-lined coats to fitted blazers rounded out the preppy collection -- all of which were done in bright shades of yellow, soft pinks and deep burgundies and blues.

Rag & Bone
David Neville and Marcus Wainwright, the duo who gave us sweatpants that look exactly like jeans, gave us even more to love with their latest collection. A mix of military-and menswear-inspired coats with lots of layering and pops of orange and yellow in the otherwise neutral collection. The Rag & Bone girl remains our quintessential idea of New York City cool.
Price Range: $60-$900

Drawing inspiration from Patti Smith's "Just Kids," the designer's collection included lots of fringe detailing and boho blouses. Our favorite pieces, as always, were the casual dresses -- this season done in sheer floor-lengths and shorter bold prints.

Geometric-shaped skirts and bold colors were mixed into a collection of knitted neutrals to build your winter wardrobe around. Fun, statement pieces like a crocodile-embossed black tee and bright yellow cape were our standout favorites.
Price Range: $100-$900

True to the brand's whimsical vibe, this season's collection was inspired by tales from author Roald Dahl (think "Fantastic Mr. Fox" and "Charlie and The Chocolate Factory"). The storybook references could most clearly be seen in faux-fur-trimmed coats and candy-colored cocktail dresses, complete with a chocolate box clutch.
Price Range: $200-$500
We ooh and ahh over all of the gorgeous designs and models that make their way down the New York Fashion Week runway. But sometimes the over-the-top designs don't translate into an every day budget (or every day wear). That's where these collections come in. While we're waiting for an occasion that requires a floor length, silk Carolina Herrera gown, will gladly settle for these affordable (and much more wearable) collections from New York Fashion Week.
