We are suckers for a great pop-up concept. These temporary shops open for a few weeks, days or hours and vanish as quickly as they appeared. Jewelry bar? Sign us up. Meatball joint in your favorite dive bar? Yes, please.

So, why not a beauty pop-up? We hatched a plan to team up with Revlon, one of the biggest names in nail color, to pull off a one-of-a-kind nail art showdown.

On August 20, we opened up shop in New York City's Union Square with five manicurists, 1,000 bottles of nail polish, a handful of summery nail art ideas, and a mani cam to capture the results. So how many nail art manicures can a pop-up shop complete in six hours? It was a nail art-meets-Field of Dreams moment: we built it, and they came. In droves. Nail art fans converged on Union Square, and by the end of this pop-up shop's moment, our nail artists completed 200 manicures.
