Alba may not have won a People's Choice award last night, but she definitely took top honors in the beauty department as much for her hair and makeup as for her emerald green mani and enviable stack of rings. Her sleek hair complemented her dewy skin, subtle pink lip and dark smoky eye.

To get Alba's ultra-chic hair, stylist Robert Ramos applied oil and leave-in spray to wet hair for the shiniest look possible. After parting hair down the middle, Ramos used a blow dryer, starting in the front and tucking behind the ears as he dried away from the face.

Once dried, he separated Alba's hair into four equal sections and used the T3 SinglePass Flat Iron, straightening the hair towards the back of her head and tucking behind her ears. To finish the look, Ramos used a tiny bit of texture cream and teased Alba's hair around the crown, following up with a larger brush to smooth and shape.

The "Girls" star is on a roll. Right on point with celebrity makeup artist Amy Nadine's statement that "barely-there makeup won the carpet," Williams paired a fresh-faced glow with nude lips. We love that Williams kept things simple, yet pretty with big lashes and a hint of navy liner at the outer corner of her lower lashline.

Hudson walked the red carpet -- and later accepted the People's Choice humanitarian award alongside her sister -- looking better than ever. Her styled pixie and bold matte lip set her apart from the crowd of nude lips and un-done hair. Plus, we've got to give it to her for having the most perfect metallic smoky eye of the night.

There's no debating the "Glee" star sported one of the most flawless nude lip-dewy complexion combos of the night. (And we're obsessed with the high-low, color blocking on that Michael Kors dress.) The only thing left to question is whether Rivera's newly dyed hair is more JLo or Kardashian-esque.

Brit took a break from her new "Piece Of Me" show in Vegas to accept her first People's Choice award for Favorite Pop Aritst. (I know, we couldn't believe she'd never won before either.) Her tousled blonde hair and shimmering complexion also won her a spot on our best beauty list.
