Balancing Act
We're not sure if these qualify as shoes or recreational activity.

Twinkle Toes
We might consider suffering through these for a night at the request of their maker, Monsieur Louboutin.

Working on Your Calves
Need a good workout? Strap these babies on for a leg-toning good time. The lizard-like metalwork is the perfect complement to your bulging calves.

Three Heels Are Better Than One
Even if one of these heels breaks off, chances are you'll still be a good foot taller than anyone else around.

We admit it: For the sake of beauty, we're willing to put ourselves through a lot. Stinging lasers in the name of line-free skin, hair-ripping wax for a smooth visage and scalp-burning bleach for lighter locks -- these practices don't raise any eyebrows 'round these parts. But, everyone has to draw the line somewhere. When it comes to crazy, over-the-top, real-people-wouldn't-dream-of-wearing-them shoes, we put our foot down.

Even though the artistry of these high-fashion shoes has us drooling, we're pretty sure if we tried to walk down the runway in them, they'd literally be to-die-for. We'll enjoy them from the front row, thanks. And if any of the models find themselves tripping over their heels, we'll be there to catch them -- the shoes, that is. Who needs artwork or books when you can put these over-the-top shoes on your shelves?
