Hair: Kate Hudson
Celebrity hairstylist Chris McMillan worked with Living Proof to give Hudson what he calls "Veronica Lake meets Jerry Hall" waves. McMillan started by applying Living Proof Prime Style Extender to wet hair before blowing out with a round brush. "The product was our most important tool for creating a look that would last the whole night," he said. Once dry, he created a strong side part and applied Living Proof Satin to the ends for a polished shine. For the loose waves, he used a 1-inch curling iron on the ends, brushing through them with a Mason Pearson Boar Bristle Brush for a more effortless look, and finished with Living Proof Flex Shaping Hairspray.

Hair: Charlize Theron
Celebrity Hairstylist Enzo Angileri used Wella Professionals to give Theron's classic pixie a modern look. Angileri worked Wella Professionals Natural Volume Mousse into wet hair from root to tip before blow drying on medium heat and flattening hair to the head with a brush. Once almost dry, he applied a few drops of Wella Professionals Oil Reflections to add red carpet worthy shine. To finish, he misted hair with Wella Professionals Stay Essential Finishing Spray to set the hair and prevent flyaways.

Hair and Makeup: Margot Robbie
We barely recognized the formerly blonde bombshell, who debuted dark brunette hair styled in glossy retro waves with an equally dark berry lip -- a combo so good we couldn't choose between the two. We loved the "Wolf of Wall Street" actress's new hue almost as much as we loved the Hollywood glam curls, which monopolized the red carpet this year.

To get the lip, makeup artist Jenn Streicher layered YSL Rouge Pur Couture Glossy Stain in Violet Edition with YSL Effet Faux Cils Crme D'Eyeliner in Cherry (yes, an eyeliner!).

Nails: Lupita Nyong'o, Julia Roberts and Maria Menounos
Pretty neutral manicures were the biggest trend on the Oscars red carpet. Lupito Nyong'o wore Deborah Lippmann Nail Lacquer in La Vie En Rose -- the perfect shimmery pale pink to complement her soft blue gown. And celebrity manicurist Lisa Jachno chose "an opaque, muted, beautiful light grey violet shade" -- Lancome Vernis in Love Nail Polish in 407N Gris Angora -- for Julia Roberts.

Meanwhile, a few stars opted for nail art, and one of our favorites was Maria Menounos. Butter London Global Colour Ambassador, Katie Jane Hughes, used a thin striping brush to draw a black chevron pattern and then filled it in with Butter London Nail Lacquer in Gobsmacked -- a glittery graphite shade -- for contrast.

The Oscars are always filled with glamorous celebrity moments, and this year was no exception. The designer gowns, tear-jerking acceptance speeches and host Ellen DeGeneres's celeb selfie that broke the record for number of retweets (and briefly broke Twitter!) were just a few highlights. But as always, it was the beauty looks we couldn't get enough of -- and we'll be turning to them for inspiration for months to come. Since we could never pick just one, we gathered our celeb favorites in hair, makeup and nails at the 2014 Academy Awards, and included expert tips and get-the-look details.

Still want more pictures from the red carpet? We rounded up our top head-to-toe Oscars moments here.
