The more photos you have, the better your profile will do. Put a variety of images up, and be sure to showcase your personality. Finally, caption them well to really put the cherry on the sundae.

Once you've snared someone's interest with a snazzy variety of photos, they'll (hopefully) want to know more about you. This is where you let your inner poet! Now it's time to really make yourself stand out in sea of other pretty faces.

Give your potential matches some conversation starters: Tell about your favorite movies and food and be sure to talk about your favorite music. The last concert you went to? Where you plan to travel to in the next year. Ask some questions, too: "What's on your bucket list?" or "Thai food or Italian?"

Tell about yourself. Do you love karaoke? Have a funny anecdote? What book are you currently reading? Try to stay positive about what you're looking for, negativity is never attractive.

Proofread, proofread, proofread! And then, have your friends proofread. Grammatical errors are easy to make — just ask us; our editors are correcting ours right now (Editor's note: That's true!). But they can be a major turnoff for a lot of people. So go over your profile with a fine-tooth comb for their, they're and there, and your, you're and ur.
