Stars and Stripes
Blogger Chiara Ferragni packs a lot of punch into this street style look. Her comic book-inspired pumps and contemporary striped dress are a power clash we can totally get behind. Rock a softer version of the look with Maggy London Filagree Morris Printed Jersey Midi Sheath Dress, $118.

Blogger Elaine Daneshrad might just win the award for cutest print. Her Nicole Miller set may be one-of-a-kind, but we're still set on stealing those two-tone platform boots.

Slinky Silhouette
We are in love with the deep teal color of this ultra sexy number. For a version you could wear anywhere, try Kiwi Co. Kate High Low Dress in Teal, $70.

Every season at New York Fashion Week, we look forward to the extravagant makeup, elaborate hairstyles and designer fashions. But to be completely honest, nothing influences our sartorial choices IRL quite like NYFW street style.

While most style authorities look toward the catwalk for next season's fashion trends, we're glued to the girls right outside. And this season's NYFW street style looks inspired us more than ever. Often, NYFW street style is a bit too costumey for every day, but this season was all about flat shoes, flowy fabrics and overall simplicity.

Here, our 18 favorite looks from New York Fashion Week Spring 2016 -- and the pieces you need to recreate them.
