And at Michael Costello, skin got the all-over-glow treatment, as well, when makeup artist Michaela Polaco mixed Inglot AMC Face & Body Illuminator with the brand's HD Corrective Primer and slathered the blend over the skin for a "dreamy effect."

We all know how to rim our eyes with black pencil, maybe smoke it out a bit or add a little tasteful cat-eye at the corners, but it's kind of like, "been there done that," right? At the fall shows, makeup artists took black liner up a notch by trotting out inventive new shapes and placements or even adding a pop of color.

At Monse, makeup artist Grace Lee created an exaggerated double flick at the outer corners reminiscent of racing stripes by using Maybelline Lasting Drama Waterproof Gel Pencil in Sleek Onyx followed by Maybelline Master Precise Ink Metallic Liquid Liner in Black Comet.

Makeup artist Yadim went bold at Jason Wu with thick, chunky liner-like swipes extending out from the corners. He used deep green shadow -- from the Maybelline City Mini Palette in Urban Jungle -- to get them.
