8 Cool Beauty Products to Check Out This October

From a magnetic face mask to the Tesla of blow dryers, these new products are seriously innovative

Life-Changing Hair Dryer
Saying that a hair dryer has changed my life might sound like hyperbole, but it's actually not. Every morning, my hair is the last thing I do before heading out the door, and it's often a rushed, stressful process. Thanks to the Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer, $399, that process has gone from stressful to pleasant -- and incredibly fast. My 15 minute routine has been cut in half, and I can rough dry my frizz-prone hair and have it look good. Sure, the price tag is a little nuts, but not when you consider the life-changing, time-saving nature of this high-tech device. And you can tell that this baby is made to last. I plan to have great hair -- and fast -- for many years to come.

Lip-Enhancing Lipstick
The original Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Lip Gloss is a cult classic, but the new Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Lipstick, $12, might be even better. The formula is hydrating (thanks to a special moisture wrap technology), the 24 color options are seriously gorgeous, and it wears like a dream. You can dab it on for a hint of color or apply with a bit more force for major drama.

Magical Magnet Mask
Of course I'm a facemask fan, but I rarely have the patience to wait 20-plus minutes for a peel-off formula to dry. Dr. Brandt Magnetight Age-Defier Magnet Mask, $75, gives me the same level of removal satisfaction (maybe more, to be honest), and there's no patience required. You apply the cool gunmetal-colored gel to your face, let it sink in, and when you're ready to take it off you use a magnet to remove it. The experience isn't as intense as it sounds -- the mask glides off with the magnet -- and it leaves behind a wildly hydrating layer of anti-aging goodness.

Multitasking Color Stick
There's something endlessly appealing about a product that's designed for both lips and cheeks -- especially when it works equally well for both purposes. Wander Beauty Carryon Lip and Cheek Gel, $22, looks beautiful wherever you apply it, and it's incredibly moisturizing thanks to avocado oil and shea butter. While some multitaskers can be dry or look flat, this one is pretty, natural looking and ideal for travel.

Lazy Girl's Body Lotion
My facial skin care routine is approximately 12 steps and takes 20 minutes, but for some reason I can't bring myself to take 60 seconds to apply body lotion. Come winter, my legs are usually dry and flaky -- and hidden under pants. However, Curel Hydra Therapy Wet Skin Moisturizer, $10.99, makes the whole application process so much more appealing. It comes in an efficient pump bottle, and you rub it onto wet skin before you hop out of the shower. It works with the water to create a layer of hydration that lasts for days, and it's unscented so there's no competing with your perfume. Using it is so quick and easy, I think my legs are going to look exponentially better this winter.

Changing weather (hello, fall) means it's time to tweak your beauty routine. Fortunately, there are some amazing new beauty products to buy this October, which means revamping your daily beauty checklist has never been easier -- or more fun. Whether you're battling acne or looking to calm dry, irritated skin, there's a new beauty product for you to try. Prices run the gamut this month -- from splurge to drugstore bargain -- so there really is something for everyone.
