Water-Packed Moisturizer
When I slather on a face cream this time of year, my skin drinks it up faster than my dog empties her water bowl. And certain parts of my face -- nose, middle of the cheeks, around the eyes -- dry out again by lunchtime. Vichy Aqualia Thermal Dynamic Hydration Rich Cream, $31, was developed specifically to help skin maintain even moisture levels over the course of 48 hours. It's packed with hyaluronic acid, aquabioryl and carrageenans, all of which pull moisture into the skin and create a barrier against dehydration. It's basically a tall glass of water for your face.

New Celebrity Hair Line Alert
Celebrity hairstylist -- and onetime Jessica Simpson BFF -- Ken Paves is back in the hair product game, and this time it's really, really good. The Ken Paves You Are Beautiful line is made up of 18 products ranging from shampoo to relaxing balm, nothing costs more than $20 and it's available at Walmart. I'm partial to the Ken Paves You Are Beautiful Flexible Hold Hairspray, $15, which feels light, smells divine and comes in a pretty rose gold can. It seems like something a Simpson sister would love.

Sleep in a Tube
By now, you probably know that your skin regenerates while you sleep. (You can catch up on the facts here.) If you still wake up looking tired, you may want to try a harder-working eye cream like Garnier Ultra-Lift Miracle Sleeping Cream Eye Cream, $16.99. It contains lavender essential oil, caffeine and hyaluronic acid to plump lines and erase dark circles, and it's specially formulated to work while you sleep. My favorite thing about it is the texture, which is like a gel-serum-cream hybrid, and I love how refreshing it feels when you dab it on.

In-Shower Root Boost
I've tried every kind of volumizing hair product that exists. Mousses, sprays, serums, shampoos … the list goes on. The irony, however, is that the more you layer on products, the more they weigh down and flatten your hair. Then, I got my hands on John Frieda Luxurious Volume 7-Day Volume In-Shower Treatment, 9.99, (currently only available at Target), which is something completely different. As the name suggests, it's a volumizing treatment you use in the shower. And it works.

After rinsing out my shampoo and conditioner, I apply the treatment to my roots and let it sit for a few minutes. Then, I rinse again. When I blow-dry my hair -- even without using any styling products -- I have so much more volume around my face (where I need it the most). And even if I travel and don't bring the treatment with me, the volume comes along because it lasts through three to five washes. It has strengthening keratin, thickening protein and a special gel that bonds to the hair fibers creating thickness and texture. Move over, mousse.

Gel Manicure Nail Savoir
I've recently jumped on the gel manicure bandwagon because I'm obsessed with Paintbox, NYC's hottest new nail salon. Unfortunately, my nails aren't as happy about this development as I am -- they're brittle and uneven. (But they look pretty!) That's why I'm so excited about the SensatioNail Nail Shield, $7.99. It's basically a sticker you apply before your gel polish that makes removal incredibly easy -- you simply peel it off. Magically, it doesn't change the look or longevity of a gel mani at all -- but it saves you from soaking, scraping and destroying your nails when it's time to remove it.

It's January. Resolution time. And if you're anything like me, cleaning out the beauty clutter is high on your to-do list. Fortunately, once you purge the crusty mascaras and underwhelming hair styling products, there are plenty of exciting new beauty products you can buy to fill your medicine cabinet back up again. The best part? They're all available at the drugstore.

Drugstores do major restocking this time of year, and there are seemingly endless new products hitting shelves. From the ultimate eye makeup remover pads (cucumber-infused!) to a brand new hair care line from a superstar celebrity stylist, there's a lot to be excited about. Start tackling that resolution list now.
