Hair Hydration Treatment
If your hair gets dry in winter, but you don't want to give up on your favorite shampoo and conditioner (neither do I), try adding Alterna Moisture Intense Oil Creme Pre-Shampoo Treatment, $30, to your routine. It's a moisturizing cream that contains oils like olive and avocado, and you apply it once or twice a week before you shampoo. It helps the moisturizing ingredients in your shampoo and conditioner work even better because they "stick" to the moisturizing ingredients in the cream. You'll have silky hair all season.

Precision Eyebrow Pencil
Eyebrows are big right now -- both literally and figuratively -- and it seems like a new brow product comes across my desk every day. The latest one to make the leap into my makeup bag is IT Cosmetics Brow Power Super Skinny, $24. As the name suggests, it's extremely skinny (for drawing on individual hairs), budge-proof and comes in seven shades. While many pencils can look reddish on brunettes, these have gray undertones to help them blend. I've added the "Universal Medium Brown" to my brow powder routine, and now I can proudly say: #browsonfleek.

Line-Erasing Serum
I meet with a lot of skin care executives for my job, and I'm always a little disappointed when they have mediocre skin. (And, to be honest, I'm less likely to try whatever they're representing.) But the opposite is also true: If their skin looks great, I'll slather on the product immediately.

Recently, a beauty publicist came by to tell me about Erasa XEP-30, $160. She'd been using the serum for two weeks, and her skin looked amazing: clear, glowing and even. (I'd seen her about a month earlier, and I could definitely tell the difference.)

Obviously, I took the serum home. I was impressed by the texture, which is thick yet goes on easily and leaves behind a pretty luminescence. Thanks to a special neuropeptide discovered in a cone snail (yes, you read that right), the serum relaxes muscles (a la Botox) over time. It's only been a week, but I'm already obsessed with the results.

Scented Papers for Perfuming Everything
I'm a crazy dog person (I have a lab mix of my own, and I'm currently fostering a second rescue dog), and while I love just about everything about having dogs, there's one drawback: the doggy smell. Thanks to scented candles and subtly fragranced cleaning products, my home is in good shape. My car, however, is another story.

Mission Grove Scented Papers, $18, have changed everything. These beautiful papers are fragranced with unusual scent combos like cardamom and coffee or clementine and clove. They tuck neatly into the pockets on backs of car seats, and it's OK if they peek out since they're so darn pretty. The perfume is subtle enough that it won't give you a headache in the car, and it lasts for months. They're a serious upgrade from a paper tree. (And if your car already smells fine, you can use them for a million other things.)

Multi-Purpose Oil
I often find myself reaching for Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream this time of year. It's a rich balm that's perfect for everything from dry cuticles to frizz. When my skin feels dry, I'd like to bathe in it. But the one drawback is spreadability -- it's too heavy for large surfaces like legs. And that's why the folks at Elizabeth Arden created Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream All-Over Miracle Oil, $28. It provides the same moisturizing magic as the original, but you can mist it onto your face or body or even spritz it into your hair -- almost like taking a bath in the stuff.
