The answer ...
Pinkish liner for a nude lip

If you think one of these images looks more like the lips of a corpse and the other looks like the lips of a live person wearing a nude lip, then you're correct! What's behind the subtle, yet striking difference? After applying your nude lip color all over, sweep a pale pink liner on the inside area where your top and bottom lips meet. and lightly blend to breathe some life back into the look. Try Bobbi Brown Lip Liner, $22, in Pale Pink if you have a light to medium skin tone, or Givenchy Lip Liner, $26, in Rose if you have a medium to dark skin tone.

Different waterline liners

We've seen the difference lining your inner waterline can make, but what about different colors of eyeliner on the waterline? The top image features an eye lined in nude, a color that is said to make the eyes appear larger and brighter. The second image shows an eye lined in black, which is said to make the eyes pop, yet also appear smaller.

Highlighted brow bone

Highlighting your brow bone (like the brow on the right) emphasizes your bone structure, gives your brows an extra lift and makes the eyes pop. Swipe TheBalm Mary-Lou Manizer Highlighter, $24, over your brow brone to get the effect.
