I've been very into brow pens lately since they do. not. budge. But when it comes to expediency, you can't beat the standard pencil/spoolie combo. This formula from Kat Von D is especially easy to work with, with a formula that's hard but not too hard and not too waxy, either. It's got a fine point so you've got a lot of control as well and you'll also find that it wears all day long.
Blush can be a dangerous thing to apply in a hurry because the fear of looking like a Victorian porcelain doll always looms large. That's where these come in: They're very sheer and forgiving and even a heavy-handed swipe won't have you looking like a terrifying life-sized doll — rather, it'll have you looking hearty and hale (and most importantly, not washed out). Plus, thanks to the moisturizing core, it adds a dewy glow to your cheeks as well. Now, this isn't the longest-wearing formula, but it's so easy to reapply that it doesn't really matter.
Now for days you're truly in a rush, let's be real: You probably aren't going to get around to your highlighter. But that doesn't necessarily have to be the case, especially if you've got a foolproof stick formula like this one. I like to add a quick dab to my cheekbones and brow bones, then I just blend it out with my fingers — easy-peasy.
My newest love! It's tough to find a tinted balm that actually balms and tints and this one does...while also featuring a seriously cute heart-shaped bullet. And in addition to being heart-shaped, it's also on the thinner side for a lippie, which together with the click-pen applicator, makes it very easy to wield.
Last but not least, you're going to want to top things off with a little mascara that'll add polish without overwhelming the rest of your low-key look. This is the mascara to do it. Even after multiple coats, your lashes will still look natural (and sans clumps too). Plus, it's forgiving enough that you can swipe it on in a hurry without worrying too much about uneven lashes.
