Sandra Bullock's Golden Globes dress wasn't our favorite, but her shy but potent berry smile caught our eye.

Along with scouting what's vogue in shoes and scoping out "it" new hairstyles, we turn to fashion week runways and celebrities to wrap our head around new makeup trends and color palettes. And nothing gets us going like a hot new lip color trend. This spring's most daring color of choice is orange (and we love it!), but if you're too pragmatic to be an early adopter, we've got the next best thing: berry.

The beautiful berry lip didn't make headlines the way orange did, but designers and makeup brands released a whole slew of punchy new lipsticks in the prettiest shades of berry -- from soft, muted raspberry to rich, deep cherry.. We love the range (one for every skin tone!) and, of course, it's a color that's compatible with just about ... everything. Check out the best lipsticks in berry colors we're stalking celebrities and runway models for now.
