Was there ever a time you got a cut or color you hated?
"That's old news! That would be the Rachel. And a color … When I was in high school, I was magenta and all sorts of weird purple. But I never regretted that. I regretted looks overall -- things I wore in the 80's and even the 90's. Shaving my head when I was 14 wasn't smart -- I wasn't bald, more of an over-the-ear sort of thing."

What's the best hair advice you've ever gotten?

"Chris [McMillan] says don't wash your hair every day, and now we don't have to. And keep coloring to a minimum if you can. And this new thing I heard about eating coconut oil, but I don't know. These trends come and go."

So many women idolize your hair, but who's your hair idol?
"I think Gisele has gorgeous hair. I also love Kate Moss and her no-effort, sexy, I-just-got-out-of-bed hair."

What's the strangest beauty trick you've ever tried?
"One of my friends told me to try the Preparation H under the eyes if your eyes are puffy thing. I did that, and then I found out they discontinued the ingredient that was in Preparation H that achieved the effect of de-puffing. So I'm just an A-hole putting butt cream on my face. I'll stick with cucumbers and tea bags -- things that work."

What's your favorite 'no sleep' beauty product or remedy when you have to be on set super early?
"It's not a beauty product: I do a 20-minute run. You get blood rushing to the face, and a good sweat. And there's nothing like a splash of cold water. Same with your hair -- always do a cold rinse."

Jennifer Aniston's filling breakfast trick
"Add one little egg white to your oatmeal right before it's done and mix and mix and mix. It gives you a nice fluffy texture with some curds -- and extra protein."

To prepare for my interview with Jennifer Aniston, I watched "Marley & Me." (It happened to be on television, and I got sucked in.)

"Aww, that was one of my favorite movies to make," Aniston said when I told her how I spent my Saturday night. "There were 22 different dogs, and at least 3 people went home with puppies."

But finding a segue from puppies to hair is surprisingly challenging (yellow labs, blonde hair?). "I thought about your hair while I watched the movie," I said. (Lie. I was too busy bawling my eyes out to even consider her hair.) And then I asked her our most pressing Jennifer Aniston hair questions.

And let me tell you, Jennifer Aniston can talk about hair. She knows her stuff -- especially when it comes to Living Proof, a brand she co-owns. You'll find all that -- plus the star's favorite oatmeal recipe -- in my Jennifer Aniston interview.
