Halloween Looks from the Runway

Still trying to find the perfect Halloween makeup? Look no further than the catwalk for over-the-top beauty ideas

Color Overload
Chanel seemed to take the soundtrack of their SS '14 show, "Picasso Baby," pretty seriously with this splattered eye makeup look. Get crazy with that cheap eye makeup palette you've never used and go for a futuristic ( ...or '60s ... or '70s) look. For extra drama, use real paint like makeup artist Peter Phillips did. (Just be sure it's safe for your skin, or you'll be rocking a whole different look, like flesh-eaten zombie.)

What a Gem
Each of these Givenchy masks took 12 hours to apply at Paris Fashion Week, but we're not suggesting you put in those kind of man-hours for your Halloween get-up. Instead use stick-on body crystals, like Swarovski Crystal Tattoos (remember when you used to rock those crystal butterflies in the '90s?), and apply generously around your eyes. Voila! You're a new superhero -- Glam Girl. And your arch nemesis is anything drab.

Artful Shading
The makeup at Vivienne Westwood was either jaw-droppingly stunning, or similar to what it looks like when I try to apply my makeup during rush hour. Either way, I was so transfixed by it, I had to come up with a Halloween costume to fit the look. Create an updated Black Swan look with that old tutu you can't seem to part with, or go for a sinister Cruella Deville.

A Two-Toned Gaze
This colorful look from The Blonds New York Fashion Week show is completely versatile. Whether you're going as a mermaid, a fairy, or the designers' inspiration -- Tweety Bird -- we'll help you recreate the look with this step-by-step tutorial.

Pink Hair, Metallic ... Lips?
Leave it to Betsey Johnson to come up with a totally crazy, out-of-the-box look ... that we're actually dying to wear in real life. Whether you take on every aspect of the look, or just one statement-making feature -- you can let your imagination run wild with possibilities for this look. The crazy pink hair and rosy cheeks make for a modern china doll. That silver lip? Perfect for a futuristic fem-bot. Our beauty picks: Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Metallic Lip Tar and Bumble and Bumble and Bumble Spray Chalk.
