Steal These Fitness Gurus' Gym Bag Beauty Essentials

Looking good while you sweat takes work. Here, the get-gorgeous, stay-gorgeous products no gym bag should be without

Julie Jacko, Founder of Barre Motion
Sunscreen: "The intense Miami sun calls for serious skin protection," Jacko says. She loves Elta MD UV Lotion because "it absorbs instantly and provides a flattering, dry finish."

Lip Balm: Likewise, her lips need protecting, too. Jacko always reaches for Isola Mint Organic SPF 30 Lip Balm. "It is wonderfully moisturizing and provides sun protection," she says.

All-Day Lipstick: If she needs a little lip color post-workout, she turns to Nars Lipstick in Christina (a shimmering golden raspberry), which she says has "the best saturation of color, is the longest wearing, and goes with everything. It's my go-to lipstick."

No-Fail Antiperspirant: To keep dry during intense sweat sessions, Jacko uses Donna Karan Cashmere Mist Anti-Perspirant. "I have tried every antiperspirant on the market. I always go back to this one," she says. "It keeps me the driest of any I've tried, and the powdery scent is beautiful without being overpowering."

Barefoot Socks: "Bella Toesox are a thing of beauty for your feet at the barre," she says. "They have a beautiful ballet-inspired design and rich colors and patterns that dress up anyone's plié."

 Madeleine Starkey, SoulCycle Instructor
A Gentle Cleansing Regimen: An arsenal of Pratima Spa's face cleanser, oils and SPF have set up permanent residence in Starkey's bag. "I literally don't leave home without these Ayurvedic skin care products because as a SoulCycle instructor who is constantly sweating, I need a cleansing regimen that's gentle enough to cleanse my face multiple times a day but strong enough to stave off congested pores that inevitably -- for me -- turn into breakouts if not militantly cared for," she says.

An All-Natural Deodorant: "I believe the body should perspire when it needs to perspire, so I avoid antiperspirant at all costs," she says. That's why she opts for Weleda Deodorant in the citrus scent. She raves that the all-natural formula "makes your sweat smell good (relatively speaking)."

A Nourishing Cuticle Cream: One of Starkey's biggest pet peeves: raggedy fingernails. She relies on Burt's Bees Cuticle Cream to keep her digits in tip-top condition. As fitness instructors ... we communicate so much with our hands, and sometimes there's no time for a proper manicure, so the cuticle cream is a quick fix for any unsightly, dehydrated nails and cuticles," she explains.

A Signature Scent: She's worn Hermès Eau des Merveilles (a woodsy and citrusy scent without a hint of florals) for seven years, and swears it's no exaggeration that she's complimented on it at least once a day. "I keep one bottle in my makeup bag and one at home so I'm never without it, because let's be honest: smelling good is super important!"

Concealer: "I never wear makeup when I teach since my skin is so sensitive, but sometimes a dab or two of [Make Up For Ever Lift Concealer] transforms my face from tired to alive right before class--or anything else my day holds," she says.

Lacey Stone, Celebrity Trainer
Long-Lasting Liner: Stone will not be without eyeliner -- specifically Revlon Waterproof Liner -- in her bag, to make her eyes really pop after a workout session.

Throwback Lip Balm: The old school find in her bag? Carmex. She uses it on the inside of her lips as well as the outside. "It's a little trick a lot of fitness professionals use because it causes your upper lip to naturally slide up which makes you automatically smile. Happy Teacher equals a happy class."

Lotion "I always have lotion in my bag, I workout a ton and I need to keep my body moisturized," Stone says. Her favorite is Origins A Perfect World.

Razor: "As a fitness pro I wear a ton of tank tops," she says. Hence, the continual presence of a BIC Disposable Razor in her gym bag.

Becca Raphael, SoulCycle Instructor
A Low-Maintenance Texturizing Spray: "I prefer to go the wavy route to maintain a low-maintenance look," says Raphael. And since she showers after all of her morning and evening classes, she's got her beach-waves routine down pat. "When my hair dries naturally it becomes this weird blend of loose waves and stick-straight strands," she says. To get beach waves right out of the shower, she sprays on Toni&Guy Sea Salt Texturising Spray. "A few spritzes on damp hair and it'll dry exactly the way I need," she says.

Self Tanner: She's been using Clarins Intense Bronze Self Tanning Tint since high school to get a golden glow sans harmful UV exposure. She puts it on post-shower to keep her "glowing all day for the earliest classes and the ones late at night."

An Acne-Fighting Toner: "As a SoulCycle Instructor I sweat... a lot," Raphael says. "Unfortunately, genetics didn't bless me with the clearest skin. It's incredibly important for me to wash my face after every class, and I've found that I need to do more than just scrub away using the face wash in the bathroom. Adding a layer of [Clean & Clear Deep Cleaning Astringent] not only gets deeper into my pores, but it leaves me with the tingly feeling that reassures my cleanliness."

Concealer: "I teach a lot classes super early in the morning -- we're talking 6 a.m. and 7 a.m. -- multiple days a week. I need to make sure I look fresh and ready to go when riders walk in the doors at 5:30 a.m. With a quick swipe of [Benefit Boi-ing Concealer] under my eyes and a few dabs on my blemishes, it ensures I am looking not only awake, but wide-eyed and ready to have them pumped up for the rest of their day."

A Gentle Makeup Remover: The most essential items in her bag, though, are "baby oil and Christian Zamora's email address." To clarify, Zamora is her go-to for her "favorite beauty secret and addiction" -- eyelash extensions. "They make me look like I'm always wearing just a bit of mascara, which implies I woke up and actually got ready for my day ... for their maintenance, I always carry a little bottle of baby oil. It's the safest product to remove dirt, eyeliner, sweat, tears, etc. without wearing away the glue," she says.

Alexia Brue, Publisher, Co-Founder, Well+Good
Cleanser: "Tata Harper Regenerating Cleanser is perfect post-workout," Brue says. "It's slightly exfoliating and very refreshing." It's made from natural, non-toxic ingredients that are blended directly in the brand's Vermont laboratories.

A Tinted Moisturizer: "For ... tinted moisturizer, Marie Veronique Organic makes one that I've been using for years. It feels really clean and light, and successfully evens skin tone without looking too heavy."

Do-It-All Pots: "A few pots of RMS can add a quick polish without looking overly made up," she says. She always has on-hand a Lip2Cheek Stain and Living Luminizer.
