"What we didn't want to do was manipulate the hair so much that is became about conformity," said Amit Abraham, L'Oreal Professionnel Artist, at Bibhu Mohapatra. "We wanted to show each woman in her individual state can still be strong, powerful and dominant." He used almost every product in his arsenal, tailored to each girl's texture.

Texture ruled at Kanye West's show where Redken Global Creative Director Guido used Redken Dry Style Enhancing Blow Dry Oil, $32 and allowed the hair to air dry.

At Mara Hoffman, the look celebrated texture reminiscent of 90's scrunching. Hairstylist Joseph DiMaggio used Davines Your Hair Assistant Blowdry Primer, $29 to tame frizz and definite curles.
