Love Face Masks? It's Time to Start Multimasking

Why wear one face mask when you could wear three?

Have you heard of multimasking before? It's pretty much exactly what it sounds like: It means you combine different types of face masks to target different skin care concerns. Few people have normal skin all over — some have oilier t-zones, some have drier patches, some have specific areas that are prone to breakouts, etc, etc — which makes applying a variety of masks a logical solution.

So, instead of aggravating dry skin with a pore-clearing mask, or making oily areas even shinier by wearing a comforting hydrating mask, know your skin — and plan your multimasking accordingly. It's a great way to tackle all your different skin issues at once and you know what? It's fun to make your face look like a multi-colored map. Keep reading for some of our favorite mask options for each skin concern.

For dry areas
Dry skin leads to dull complexion and can emphasize fine lines. To boost moisture on dry areas, you'll need a soothing hydrating mask that adds luminosity — and smooths out your skin texture while its at it. Look for a mask that contains fruit enzymes and vitamins that helps replenish moisture, improve elasticity and restore radiance to the skin.

Kiehl's Rare Earth Deep Pore Cleansing Mask, $35
