Sometimes acne rears its ugly head all over your face. Sigh. It happens. Queen contourer Heidi Hamoud shows us how to deal when your whole face is permanently aflame.

After applying moisturizer (Hamoud uses Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream, $100), apply a mattifying primer like Make Up For Ever Step 1 Skin Equalizer, $37, to "create a shield" over the acne. Then, Hamoud relies on a makeup pro trick to camouflage redness: She pulls out the green stuff. Because green counteracts redness, tapping a product like Becca Backlight Targeted Colour Corrector, $30, in Pistachio over acne makes the red spots blend seamlessly into the skin under foundation. Blend the green with a damp BeautyBlender, pushing it into the skin.

Using a pea-sized drop of Make Up For Ever Mat Velvet + Foundation, $41, and Illamasqua Rich Liquid Foundation, $45, Hamoud spreads the mixture across the entire face with a brush, buffing and blending with a BeautyBlender as she goes.

This tip from Desi Perkins, whom we're dubbing the ULTIMATE acne camouflager, just might change your life. Perkins disguises raised acne (you know, the cystic, sticks-around-for-weeks, under-the-skin type) as beauty marks. GENIUS.

Full-coverage foundation does cover marks, but when applied with a heavy hand it can look like you're wearing a mask. YouTuber Raven Elyse fixes that by mixing two different full-coverage foundations with two primers to make them more blendable.
