In the Total Beauty and Beauty Riot office, most of us don't have makeup bags so much as makeup trunks, and even those are often overflowing with products.

So the idea of using one palette and a select few other products to get ready for a day at work was ... concerning. But a couple brave staffers volunteered for the challenge. We gave Rosie from TotalBeauty.com and Kristin from BeautyRiot.com the Pixi Eye Glow Cube, $28, and only foundation, concealer, mascara, and lip gloss to create an office-ready look. "I started with Pixi Flawless Beauty Fluid, $30, and Pixi Wakeup Concealer, $18. These are lightweight but I can also build up the coverage where I need it (hello, dark circles!).

"The cool thing about Pixi Eye Glow Cube is it also has a pull out drawer with blush and highlighter options. I used the pink shade to highlight my cheekbones and give me a subtle glow."

"I used the taupe shade in the palette as my base eyeshadow. I applied it to my lid, browbone and the inner corners of my eyes. This helped open up my eye area, a must on a Monday morning."

"Since this palette has a lot of fun shades, I opted to mix a few to create a smoky eye. I combined the purple and burgundy shades and applied them in my crease and along my lower lashline instead of eyeliner to define my eyes."

"To finish my smoky eye I applied my burgundy/purple mix to the outer half of my eyelid, smudging it out with my brush."

"And of course you can't finish a smoky eye without mascara! I used Pixi Large Lash Mascara, $18. It defined my lashes and made sure they still stood out from my purple shadow."
