Challenge: 1 Palette, 2 Easy Weekend Looks

Proof you don't need to raid your whole makeup bag before brunch

Weekends to us mean leisurely brunches, hiking with friends, and, OK, catching up on errands too. What they don't mean: spending hours in front of the mirror perfecting a cat eye before heading to the coffee shop or grocery store.

That said, we're still prone to using the entire contents of our makeup bags to create a "no makeup makeup" look on our days off. So this challenge is harder than it might initially seem. We gave Rosie from TotalBeauty.com and Kristin from BeautyRiot.com the Pixi Shade Quartette in Shades of Peach, $22. Using that, and a few other key products like foundation and mascara, they were asked to create casual looks perfect for the weekend. First up, Kristin ...

Kristin's Face
"I started my look with NP Set It Takes Two Concealer and Foundation Pot, $35. This one little pot is handy since it has foundation in the bottom and concealer in the lid.

"Technically this shadow quartette is for your eyes, but the bronzy shade is a great bronzer for my pale skin. I applied it to my forehead, cheeks, across my nose, and my chin, basically everywhere the sun would hit, for a glow."

Kristin's Eyes
"I went for a subtle eye look and used the lightest shade in the quartette on my lid, browbone, and the inner corner of my eyes to brighten them."

Kristin's Eyes Part Two
"To finish my eyes I used the mauve shade in my crease to help define my eyes. Then I applied a little NP Set Glamorista Mascara, $16. I know it's not part of the challenge but I can't live without mascara!"

Kristin's Final Look
"I finished up my look with a little NP Set Lip Balm with Benefits in Capri, $10. It's great for the weekend since it's sheer but still adds a subtle pop of color to my face.

"What do you think? It's subtle and natural but I definitely feel put together enough to have brunch with friends today."

Now let's see how Rosie did with the same palette ...
