She took to Instagram to announce the chop, crediting Mare Salon co-founder Mara Roszak for her new look. For her part, Roszak dubbed the look "Nouvelle Vague" via hashtag, and we have to admit: Deschanel does rather look like she walked right out of a Jean-Luc Godard film. Anna Karina much?
