The 7 Best Beauty Products Launching in January

We promise: You will covet every item on this list. Bonus: they're all available at the drugstore
I got an early look at this product a few months ago, and I immediately wanted to tell everyone I know about it. Unfortunately, I was sworn to secrecy -- which was torture -- but it's finally here! And my prediction is that it's going to be the biggest launch of 2014 -- not just the month of January.

I don't know why it took so long for a brand to come out with a BB cream for the body, but I'm so glad Jergens finally developed one. And -- what's even more exciting -- it happens to be amazing. It contains shea butter for tons of hydration, a hint of shimmer to blur out imperfections, the tiniest amount of DHA to make your skin glow, plus firming and skin tone-evening ingredients. What it's not is makeup for your body, and that's a good thing. (You can wear all the white clothes you want.) It's just a really awesome lotion that happens to make your skin look amazing. Pick one up before it sells out faster than Jergens Natural Glow did in 2005.

While we're on the subject of BB creams, I have to tell you about the new L'Oreal Silky Sheer BB Face Lotion with SPF 50 -- yes, 50. Although I've been a BB cream advocate for quite some time, it worries me when people admit that a BB is their only sun protection. Unless it has SPF 30 or better and you're putting on a full teaspoon every day, it's not going to cut it. That's why this one is so genius: it has a super high SPF, and it's light enough that you can really slather it on.

This super-rich body cleansing oil was developed to treat eczema. And even though I don't have eczema, I've been using it daily. It's so incredibly moisturizing that I can skip using lotion afterwards, and every dry patch -- from my elbows to my heels -- has softened.

I also passed along a bottle to a friend who actually has eczema, and she couldn't believe the results. Within a week, her eczema had completely subsided, and she hasn't had a flare-up since.

Ecotools Full Volume Styler, $10.99
I've always loved Ecotools makeup brushes, and I could wax poetic about the false eyelashes for days. So when I found out they were branching out into hair brushes, I couldn't wait to get my hands on one.

And they're just as good as I hoped: the handles are bamboo, the packaging is recycled, and the vent system dries hair 20-percent faster. One of my New Year's resolutions is to cut down on heat styling, and now I can check that one off my list without changing anything except my brush.

I have about a dozen dry shampoos in my collection, and this one is my new favorite. Instead of powdery ingredients, it's made with tapioca, which is virtually colorless and expands -- just like tapioca pudding -- to absorb oil. Plus, unlike other dry shampoos, it doesn't leave hair matte and dull looking. And the grapefruit and mint scent is exactly what you want it to be: clean smelling.
