Small details, like the gilded hardware on the packaging and the "Magic's in the Makeup" quote on the mirror, make this limited edition palette a can't-miss.
While the shadow colors may be more neutral than you'd expect from the No Doubt singer, the taupes and browns are rounded out by bright pink, blue and gold shades. Plus, they're all the shades are superpigmented and apply like butter.

If you don't want to wear every shade in this Marc Jacobs palette, $99, I'm going to assume you were hit in the head with an icicle while on a romantic sleigh ride. Because that's the only logical explanation. It has just the right amount of neutral shades and jewel tones to create a variety of looks -- shadows eight and nine (a sheer olive green and shimmer pewter, respectively) look particularly captivating when paired together.

If you're looking to splurge on a palette, let it be this one, $210. The Venetian-Masquerade-inspired collection is drop dead gorgeous to behold. The real statement is the to-die-for eye shadow quad -- the outside is a work of art, and the inside is imprinted with a mask design you won't want to mar with your shadow brushes (but you will, because the colors are irresistible). A rich Bordeaux mascara and crimson lipstick round out the set.
