The $10 Body Wash That Boosts My Mood
There are plenty of beauty products that excite me. A better-than-falsies mascara warrants a jump for joy. A luxe moisturizer that takes off 10 years overnight is well worth a text of praise-hand emojis punctuated by exclamation points. But body wash? The seemingly utilitarian product has never elicited more than an ambivalent shrug from me. My M.O. has always been to hit up the drugstore and pick out the most massive, cheapest bottle I could find -- that is, until I discovered Soap & Glory's Orangeasm Body Wash, $10.

This zesty body wash -- which yes, I love in spite of its blush-inducing name -- has an uncanny ability to lift my spirits every time I lather up. Its bright citrus scent evokes sunny days and orange groves, rather than lemon-scented house-cleaning products (a victory in itself), and it helps put a spring in my step when I'm battling morning brain fog.

But Soap & Glory's body wash offers more than just a nice fragrance. Its hydrating formula leaves my skin feeling silky, not stripped (I've gone as far as to use it to shave my legs). Of course, it also fulfills all of the utilitarian requirements of a good body wash. It's inexpensive, comes in a handy pump-topped bottle and is large enough that it takes a long time to deplete (even when my husband swipes a squirt or three here and there). I don't kick up my heels and do a happy dance for just any body wash, but this one justifies some revelry. --Mary Squillace

The Brow Product That Does Everything in One Step
I over-tweezed in the '90s, and my brows just don't grow. (You've probably heard this before -- it's one of my biggest beauty annoyances.) Now, my daily brow routine involves three products -- a pencil, a powder and a gel -- to get my arches to look believably full.

But this multi-step system feels too high maintenance for the weekends (and some weekdays, too, let's be honest), so I've been searching for something that gives me the look I want in just one step. That something is Maybelline New York Brow Precise Fiber Volumizer, $9.99. It's a tinted gel with volumizing fibers, which isn't especially revolutionary -- except that this one seems to have twice as many fibers as similar products. You can actually see them attaching to your brows to fill in holes (of which I have numerous). Instead of a round spoolie, you apply the product with a tiny pointed paddle brush, which allows you to really focus on the holes and any other areas that need the most filling. The tint looks natural, and the hold is seriously strong. (My brows hairs like to migrate out of place during the day, but this gel keeps them where I want them.) It does everything I need to make my brows look thicker and groomed, and it takes seconds to apply. If only it could get them to grow -- but I guess I'll keep trying serums for that. --Dawn Davis

The Indulgent, Natural Body Oil You Can Find at Target
My makeup routine is what some would call indulgent (I'd call it thorough). But I'm a complete pragmatist when it comes to body care. Creamy vats of fancy, perfumed lotion? No thanks. (The feeling of shoving body-buttered legs into skinny jeans is my version of nails on a chalkboard.) So most days I don't even bother moisturizing my body, which leaves me with skin that's not so soft.

Intent on making a better beauty habit, I went looking for something that would give my skin much-needed moisture, but not leave me feeling like an oil slick. And that's how I found Acure Organics Marula + Argan Dry Oil Body Spray, $12.99. The spray bottle is incredibly convenient (it takes me approximately 30 seconds to mist my entire body), and the lightweight-yet-hydrating formula melts into my skin and leaves it feeling soft, not sticky. The formula itself is also a rockstar: It's got coconut oil (because of course), plus other skin rescuing oils like seabuckthorn, marula, and argan. Plus, it's vegan, sulfate-free, paraben-free, and cruelty-free, and the brand only uses plant and food based ingredients in their products. My only word of caution: Mist yourself while standing on a towel, otherwise you might slip (something a klutz like me has definitely done). --Allie Flinn

The Drugstore Cleanser That Zaps All My Breakouts
Let's take it back a few years. Remember in high school when an unexpected breakout would send you scrambling for just about every acne product you own because, hello, cute boy in your geometry class? While my breakouts were never as severe as some of my peers', I struggled well into adulthood to find a cleanser that would rid me of my stress-prone breakouts. That is, until I found Yes To Tomatoes Detoxifying Charcoal Cleanser, $9.99.

I've tried just about every expensive acne treatment on the market and nothing compares to this drugstore gem. While the gel consistency of the gentle cleanser threw me off at first, it applies smoothly and covers the full surface of the skin, ensuring you don't miss any crevices where a pesky pimple may be festering. The charcoal within the cleanser draws out impurities, while the tomato extract gives skin a burst of healing antioxidants. And, whereas many acne cleansers dry out skin, this miracle-worker contains jojoba spheres for a gentle and moisturizing exfoliation, while salicylic acid gives pores a deep cleaning. My results? After a week of regular use, all signs of acne disappeared and I was left with a glowing and clear complexion.

So just to be clear (hehe), before you spend hundreds of dollars on expensive acne treatments, give this skin-clearing cleanser a go. Between the cleansing charcoal and antioxidant-packed tomato, you've got yourself a radiant skin cocktail your complexion can't wait to drink up. --Jessica Amaris

The Cleansing Balm That Simplifies My Nightly Routine
I love experimenting with eye makeup -- from colorful shadows and liners to false lashes and mascaras that gives me a faux-lash look. But when the end of the day comes, I just want to take it all off and hop into bed -- which, with long-wear mascara, especially -- is sometimes easier said than done. Not so with It Cosmetics Bye Bye Makeup 3-in-1 Makeup Melting Cleansing Balm, $38, which takes off every last bit of makeup, struggle-free.

The product is not only a cleansing balm, but a makeup remover and anti-aging serum that contains hyaluronic acid, peptides and antioxidants, as well as other wrinkle-combating ingredients. The consistency is similar to solidified coconut oil -- you massage it into your face for about a minute before adding water, then rinse. For me, the most amazing part is how easily it dissolves the most stubborn mascara and those pesky clumps of eyelash glue that typically rip out your lashes when you try to rub them away with your fingers.

Gone are the days of using multiple steps to cleanse my face at bedtime or doing a one-step wash only to wake up with raccoon eyes in the morning. With It Cosmetics Bye Bye Makeup 3-in-1 Makeup Melting Cleansing Balm, I go to bed with a clean, moisturized and nourished face -- sans makeup. What more could I ask for? --Hannah Savin
