The Sunscreen That Makes Me Love Sunscreen
Confession time: I hate wearing sunscreen -- which is basically a cardinal sin when you're a beauty editor.

Yes, I know that sunscreen protects my skin, prevents premature aging and wards off skin cancer. Still, it's hard to get jazzed about applying the stuff. The sunblocks of my youth either left my skin slick and smelling like a coconut, or sticky and coated in a white cast that stained my swimsuits. They were a chore to apply -- and then to have to re-slather every two hours? Hard pass.

Thankfully, sunscreen has come a long way in recent years. Case in point: Kiehl's Sun Protector Water-Light Lotion for Face and Body, $29, which isn't just tolerable -- I actually enjoy putting it on. True to its name, this lightweight lotion-like formula absorbs immediately upon touch, leaving my skin feeling soft, never greasy. Between the barely-there texture and fragrance-free formula, it's kind of like wearing nothing at all. And most importantly, it gets the job done: It recently kept me burn-free after a weekend of swimming and pool-lounging in 100-degree weather.

It goes without saying that Kiehls' sunscreen has earned a permanent spot in my beach bag, which I hope is enough to help me atone for my past beauty transgressions. --Mary Squillace

The $15 Brow Kit That Saves Me When I Travel
Travelling without tweezers can be torture -- like when you're gone for a week and you're stuck watching that one errant brow hair get longer and longer. Up until recently, the TSA wouldn't let you pack tweezers in a carry-on (and I only ever travel with a carry-on). So I figured out this workaround: mini tweezers.

The only problem is that tiny tweezers often go missing -- unless, that is, they're in a kit. L'Oreal Paris Brow Stylist Prep and Shape Pro Kit, $14.99, is a great little compact that contains a brow powder, wax, spoolie, angled brush and tiny tweezers. I keep it in my travel makeup bag (which I never unpack and only use when I'm travelling), so I know I'm always covered, whether it's a splinter or that rogue brow hair. Everything else in the kit is also fantastic (the powder looks soft and natural and really lasts), and at a bargain price, you can afford to stash one in every makeup bag -- travel, desk drawer, glove compartment, etc. --Dawn Davis

The Shampoo That Keeps My Blonde Hair in Tip-Top Condition
Confession: I sometimes sleep with my makeup on. And I pop the occasional pimple. But the one cardinal beauty sin I will never, ever commit? Letting my blonde hair turn brassy. Although I am a natural blonde (#humblebrag), I do get babylights or balayage to add a little somethin' somethin' to my hair. So it's necessary to take precautions to ensure my inside-of-a-banana-colored highlights stay that way. My favorite tool in my anti-brassy-hair arsenal? R+CO Sunset Blvd Blonde Shampoo, $29.

One look at the almost otherworldly silver-lavender color of the formula, and I was hooked. That's because the formula contains mica, which gives it (and my hair) high-impact luminosity. It not only preserves my color, it also makes my blonde hair feel incredibly soft and look more vibrant and shiny. And it gently gets my hair superclean, thanks to coconut. Even though it's sulfate-free, it has a rich, luxurious lather that makes for an amazing sensorial experience. Add to that the to-die-for packaging and the fact that it's cruelty-free, and you'll understand how I'm already on my third bottle of this magical elixir -- and why my hair color looks like the inside of a banana and not the outside. --Allie Flinn

The Coffee Scrub That Leaves My Skin Supersmooth
I have a confession to make: I don't like coffee.

I know, I know -- please don't stone me with coffee beans. While everyone's favorite IV-worthy drink isn't my cup of Joe (sorry, I had to), I couldn't help but fall in love with Lalicious Extraordinary Whipped Sugar Coffee Sugar Scrub, $35, when it made its way to my shower.

You see, even though the taste of coffee has never been my thing (despite my Colombian roots), I've loved the smell of java as long as I can remember. And this gentle body scrub has a sweet coffee aroma that isn't overpowering. While the scrub leaves my skin baby-smooth thanks to exfoliating sugar cane and hydrating coconut and almond oils, it also helps reduce the appearance of cellulite with caffeine (from the coffee). Can I get a hell yes? All the more reason to wear your coffee rather than drink it.

So while the rest of the world is sipping on their morning cups, I'll be reaping all the skin benefits by scrubbing with mine. --Jessica Amaris

The BB Cream that Keeps Me Shine-Free All Summer Long
Since my early teens, I have been blessed and cursed with oily skin. I put on my makeup first thing in the morning, and by the time I get to work I'm already touching it up with powder or blotting papers. It doesn't help that most foundations -- even mattifying formulas -- clog my pores and make me break out. Instead, I gravitate towards BB creams -- they're lighter, fresher and generally more skin-friendly. The one drawback is that many have a dewy finish, which doesn't do my already shiny face any favors.

When I first heard about Cover Girl Clean Matte BB Cream, $8.99, I knew I had to try it. This drugstore BB cream is everything I've ever dreamed of: light-as-air feel, scent-free, medium to full coverage, doesn't clog my pores, and most importantly, stays matte all day -- especially in the hot summer months when my makeup is usually melting down my face.

I've spent a pretty penny on other BB creams, but this one really does it all. And at under $10 a pop, it doesn't break my budget. I may have been born with an overly glowy complexion, but with this BB Cream in my makeup bag (and on my face), you'd never know it. --Hannah Savin
