Step 3: Wipe off your angled brush, then use it to apply a thick line of blue cream shadow, like Make Up Forever's Aqua Cream in shade 24, $23, below the lower lashes. Make sure to start from the inner corner of the eye and extend upwards so that it meets the yellow liner.

Step 4: Apply a peachy blush to the apples of the cheeks. Then top off your lips with a neutral gloss and set the look with powder. Ta-da!

The glittery eye shadow, braided hair, and bronze smoky eyes we recreated earlier in the week seem like child's play compared to this look from the Chromat "Mathlete" presentation. Trust me, we could have really used a mathlete -- or at the very least a ruler -- to help us with this angular look. Instead we settled for some scotch tape and a really steady hand. Oh, and lots of Make Up Forever Pure Pigment, $20, in white.

Now, we're not saying you could pull this off in the office or your next backyard barbecue, but we loved the edginess of it. For our challenge, we skipped the alien eyebrows, slicked back her hair and came up with a Chroma-inspired look that would be fun for a fashion-forward costume party (Halloween is just around the corner!) or rave-y music festival.

Props to our intern/model, Hayley, who wore the look for the rest of the day -- granted, she didn't set foot outside of the office until it was time to go home (and she told us people in traffic next to her openly gawked). Click to see our take on the Chromat look.

Step 1: First even out your skin by applying a multi-tasking product (we like MAC's Prep and Prime BB Beauty Balm, $30) with a foundation brush.

Step 2: Apply a small piece of scotch tape just outside the outer corner of your eye, with the bottom corner of the tape lined up to the top lash line. Apply a second piece of tape along your cheekbone, starting at the middle of eye, to meet the corner of the first piece of tape. (Essentially, you're creating a reverse point with the ends of the tape.) Fill in the space between the pieces of tape with a neutral eye primer to keep the makeup in place.

Step 3: Dip a small angled brush in water and mix with Make Up Forever Pure Pigment, $20, to make a paste. (Note: You will have to wet the pigment powder throughout the process; we recommend using a separate mixing tray.)

Step 4: Trace the lines made by the tape, then connect the two lines at the point nearest your temple. This should make an angled line. You can use another piece of tape as a guideline for this if needed. Make a point in the middle of your lines, then connect the top line to this midpoint. Do the same for the bottom line. Fill in your outline by using an eye shadow brush and the wet powder.

Step 5: Dip the angled brush in the wet powder and line the inner corner of your eye. Dip the handle-end of the brush into the powder and use it to make a dot right next to your tear duct. Dip into the powder mixture again and create another dot near the outer edge of your eyebrow. Using a larger brush (with a bigger handle end), dip the end in the powder mixture and create a circle above the middle of your eyebrow. Touch up any mistakes with concealer.
