Speak to stylist
If you noticed that you don't like the haircut while you are still in the salon, don't be afraid to tell your stylist. Try not to panic or be rude — keep in mind that there's a chance that he or she misunderstood your request. Just tell them what bothers you with as much detail as possible. Then, give them the opportunity to make it right.

If the attempt to fix it still makes you unsure, well... keep on reading.

Go through your styling routine
If you get home and you're still unhappy about it, sleep on it. The next morning, wash it and do your usual styling routine. This way, you'll be able to notice the differences from your previous haircut and you'll be able to point out what bothers you. This will make your feedback to your stylist more concrete and comprehensible for your next appointment.

Use bobby pins
Stock up your supply of bobby pins because they can be your best friend while you wait for your hair to adjust and grow out of its awkward cut. For example, if you accidentally got a short haircut, you can use these to create a hair updo. You can also use it to keep your uneven bangs from showing.

It might also be a good time to try out the major hair clip trend that's been making waves lately.
