Love her or hate her, you have to admit that Taylor Swift's simultaneously retro-yet-current winged liner/red lip combo is seriously on point. P.S. If there were an award on this list for best post-gym eyeliner, Ms. Swift would most certainly win it.

As far as beauty looks go, it doesn't get much better than Debbie Harry's platinum '80s bangs, blue eye shadow, and seriously intense cat eyes. Cue "One Way or Another," because this winged eyeliner look is absolutely essential.

For a completely different (yet no less effective) take on blue eye shadow and winged liner, look no further than Anna Karina. Like Jean Seberg, she was actually a frequent collaborator with French filmmaker Jean-Luc Godard (unlike Seberg, she was also his wife) -- and she wore winged liner with some serious panache.
