12 Chic Nail Art Ideas to Copy from NYFW

The coolest runway nail looks you'll want to DIY ASAP

Dry Brush perfection
Inspired by Nanette Lepore's Spring 2016 presentation that featured various evocative prints and textiles, senior nail stylist Soo Kim turned this manicure into a raw-edged and imperfect look. Aiming for a free-spirited feel, Kim created the design by applying two coats of Caption Nail Polish in Look, Don't Touch. Then, using Heaven Help Me, Kim cleaned off the brush so that very little polish remained and swiped lightly across the nail in various directions to create faint brush strokes.

While most eyes were on the dresses and jumpsuits that came down the runway at last week's New York Fashion Week, we were laser-focused on models' manicures. If the nail art looks we saw most often are any clue to what will be on trend come spring 2016, we forecast minimalistic and geometric nail designs, along with wild splatter, ombre and dark, moody nails.

For nail art that needs to go straight from the runway to your nail bed, these NYFW nail designs are easy to recreate and will have your fingers looking runway chic in minutes.
