Try a golf ball foot massage
Whether you're an avid athlete or not, you likely have golf or tennis balls lying around the house. And if they aren't getting much use, now's the time to put them to work -- use them for massage. Meyers says to put one ball on the floor and roll the bottom of your foot on it." Roll your foot on it until you feel a spot that feels painful or tight," she says. When you do, "put as much pressure on [the spot] as you can by leaning your body [weight] on it."

Use lotion for more than daily hydration
Every time you apply your daily hand or body lotion, take advantage of the moment by actually massaging it in. It's a simple way to turn an everyday product into a relaxation tool. "It's what our staff is doing every day," says Sharp. "We're applying our lotion and rubbing our hands so that we can keep going throughout the day." Correct your posture
Your mom constantly hounded you to "sit up straight" when you were young (now you do the same to your little ones), and with good reason. Standing and sitting with good posture will make life easier on you. Period. That's because the straighter you are, the less gravity will effect your body. "If your shoulders are forward, then gravity will push them down," says Meyer. Which means you will constantly fight against gravity every day of your life, making it harder to walk, sit, or run. So what's an easy way to realign yourself if you sit at a desk or drive all day? Meyers says to stand up and "put your arms out straight and touch your palms and fingers together � kind of like you're shooting a gun. Then open your arms [shoulder width] and drop them back at your side. That'll open up your top chest area and put your shoulders back where they're supposed to be."

Pick up a foam roller
Foam rollers are usually found at gyms -- they're large white or colored (often blue) tubes of hard Styrofoam. They're fairly cheap and easy to find. Use one to get the knots or "trigger points" out of your back, hips or legs. Meyer says, "lay the foam roller on the ground, and lay [horizontal] on it with your back. Use it to just roll on the areas that feel tight." And if you want to work on your glutes or legs, she says to simply lay on your side (with the roller under that side) and hold yourself up with one arm to leverage your weight on the roller.

Comfort feet with a compress
Looking for a quick way to soothe your feet? If they're swollen and retaining water from a long day (in uncomfortable heels), then use a cold compress -- a small towel soaked in cold water. Then wrap your feet with it. If they're feeling sore, use a warm compress -- a small towel soaked in warm water. Add a few drops of peppermint essential oil and your feet will feel better in no time.
