Eyeshadow
Heather's girls' night out calls for some drama, so Anton uses the purple shade in the Almay Intense I-Color Smoky-I Kit for Brown Eyes, $6.99, on her lids and along her lower lashline.

Anton uses a slightly stiff brush to pack on multiple layers of the color on her lids for a darker hue (you can also try wetting the shadow for an intense color if you'd like). If you want a more sheer look you can use a fluffier brush. Then she applies the bronzy shade in the crease and the champagne shade in the inner corners of Heather's eyes. Finally, she uses a fluffy brush to blend the shadow so there are no telltale lines.

A little tip from Anton: Once you're happy with your shadow, use a little makeup remover to clean up any smudges or dropped shadow underneath your eyes. You can try Almay Oil-Free Makeup Eraser Sticks, $5.50, for an easy all-in-one option.

Mascara
No eye makeup look is complete without mascara. Anton uses Almay Intense I-Color Volumizing Mascara, $7.99, and applies multiple coats to really play up Heather's lashes. She suggests starting with the brush held horizontally and then flipping it vertically to add even more product to your lashes.

Foundation
It doesn't matter whether you apply your foundation with a brush, a sponge, or your fingers, the important thing is that you blend, Anton says. "Blend down into the neck as well, as your neck is usually lighter than your face and you don't want any demarcation," she says.

Anton used Almay Smart Shade Mousse Makeup, $13.99, on Heather and applied it with a foundation brush (her preferred method). After that, she applied concealer under Heather's eyes with a concealer brush.

Blush
The finishing touch for this look is a little blush on the apples of Heather's cheeks. Anton used Almay Smart Shade Powder Blush, $9.79, and a fluffy powder blush to give Heather a rosy glow. Then she added a pinky-nude lipstick to Heather's lips. "You want a neutral lip color with a smoky eye," she says.

After
"OMG, I love it!" Heather says after seeing her final look. "I never wear dark shadows like this because I feel like I have deep-set eyes, but this looks amazing, I can't believe it!"
