Ever have one of those weeks where by Friday, you need to round up your favorite girlfriends and hit the town for a big night out? Heather Carrillo, from Simi Valley, Calif., knows the feeling. Between school, her job, and her two adorable (but high maintenance) puppies, she's more than ready to blow off some steam with a girls' night.

But there's a big difference between feeling ready for a girls' night and looking it. And as you can see, right now Heather could use a little help. Enter our makeover dream team: Jenna Anton, makeup artist, and Eddie Neuangthavong, master designer for The Doves Studio in Santa Monica, Calif. Together they did a complete 180 on Heather, making the odds of her being the hottest girl at the bar very good. Keep clicking to see what they did -- then steal their tricks for yourself.

Hair
Sexy waves are an obvious choice for a night out -- and for good reason. Not only do they look beautiful, but it's also a style that's easy to recreate at home. Neuangthavong used a foundation mist and gel in Heather's hair for hold, then blow dried it in sections with a round brush. When he finished each section, he wrapped it up into a pin curl to help hold the wave.

Once her hair was cool, Neuangthavong took out the pin curls and tousled Heather's hair with his hands. Then he added Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray, $19.50, throughout her hair. "It makes the hair a lot fuller without the tackiness or stickiness of hairspray," he says, and it'll help her style last through her night.

Eyeliner
Start with your eyes first, Anton says, so that when you inevitably drop eyeshadow on your cheeks you don't mess up your foundation.

Anton began by curling Heather's lashes to open up her eyes, then she applied Almay Intense I-Color Eyeliner for Brown Eyes, $4.99, into the roots of her lashes. "Apply little dots in between the lashes to make the lashline look thicker," Anton says. To really define Heather's eyes, she also applied liner to her lower lashline and inner rims.

Primer
No one wants her smoky eye to melt off before the party really gets going, so Anton applied Almay Intense I-Color Liquid Shadow + Color Primer, $7.99, to Heather's lids before shadow. If you're in a pinch and don't have a primer handy, Anton says you can also pat concealer on your lids to help shadow stay in place.

Eyeshadow
Heather's girls' night out calls for some drama, so Anton uses the purple shade in the Almay Intense I-Color Smoky-I Kit for Brown Eyes, $6.99, on her lids and along her lower lashline.

Anton uses a slightly stiff brush to pack on multiple layers of the color on her lids for a darker hue (you can also try wetting the shadow for an intense color if you'd like). If you want a more sheer look you can use a fluffier brush. Then she applies the bronzy shade in the crease and the champagne shade in the inner corners of Heather's eyes. Finally, she uses a fluffy brush to blend the shadow so there are no telltale lines.

A little tip from Anton: Once you're happy with your shadow, use a little makeup remover to clean up any smudges or dropped shadow underneath your eyes. You can try Almay Oil-Free Makeup Eraser Sticks, $5.50, for an easy all-in-one option.
