Why At Least One Young Woman Rejects the Concept of Teen Girls Having to Be Sexy

A convincing video helps this teen knock her point out of the park
It's got to be hard being a teenage girl these days. From very early on, they're bombarded with nothing but magazine images and ad campaigns and wayward celebrity "role models" which send the message that being "sexy" (if tacky, inappropriate and over-the-top are what's considered sexy these days) is the thing to strive for.

One girl named Esmé is bucking that message with all her might. And, considering the fact that her dad is Anthony Edwards (he of "ER" fame) and her mom is Stila founder Jeanine Lobell, this stance is all the more refreshing and welcome.

In a new video, which she made because she wanted to, "show her transformation into sexy because that is what I am supposed to want. I don't want that though. And that's okay," Esmé, who's 16, demonstrates how she -- and girls like her -- can become bombshells in a matter of minutes, leaving behind their wholesome good looks in favor of come-hither sexiness made so ubiquitous by everyone from the Victoria's Secret Angels to train wreck pop stars.

Watch the video below and tell us: do you wish that young girls would hold onto their youth and innocence longer or is it cool for them to want to be "mature" before their time?
