The beloved (affordable) makeup brand has been revived

If you were old enough to wear (or even play with) makeup in the 1990s, odds are that Jane Cosmetics was one of your favorites.

Offering everything from lip glosses to eye shadows and liners, Jane was the go-to drugstore brand for women who wanted to play around with color and trends without breaking the bank. Then, in 2009, disaster hit and the company filed for bankruptcy, leaving legions of fans down in the dumps -- not to mention lip liner-less.

Now, thanks to a company called Patriarch Partners and a co-development deal with Stila, Jane Cosmetics is prepped to come roaring back with a vengeance.

Beginning Sunday, August 18th, exclusively at Ulta stores, you'll be able to peruse the re-launched collection for such finds as a $5.99 concealer or a $9.99 makeup palette consisting of three eye shadows and a powder blush. Doesn't get much easier on your wallet than that. Especially for quality cosmetics and Jane has long prided itself on using only the "highest quality formulas" in their product line. (Hint: You can already buy some of the line at Ulta.com where, with a minimum $12 purchase, you will receive a free cosmetics bag.)

In addition to returning to its roots with a wide collection of cosmetic offerings, Jane is now also a philanthropic organization with a focus on paying things forward via the newly conceived "Friends of Jane" network -- a compendium of "real, culturally diverse women who are giving back to their communities and changing the world in impactful ways." These women, whose photos adorn the brand's new packaging serve as an inspiration for Patriarch Partners' CEO, Lynn Tilton.

"I'm about bringing back American brands that people don't forget and bringing [it] new life." Tilton says. "[Jane is] a brand with great products but also a reflection of what's in my heart; supporting and empowering women."

To learn more about the women driving the "Friends of Jane" train, you can click here and, tell us, are you stoked that this seminal brand is returning to shelves? And, will you just happen to find yourself at Ulta on Sunday?
