If I were to describe Sarah Hyland in one word, it would be "energetic." ("Adorable" and "funny" are tied for a close second.) When I met up with the "Modern Family" actress to discuss her summer plans, she was barefoot, wearing a palm-printed romper and quite literally bouncing on the couch in a hotel room. (She said she'd had a lot of coffee.)

I wasn't surprised to learn that Hyland is very active and loves being outside. (The hotel room must have been torture for her.) But outdoor activities also mean sun exposure. "Since I live in LA, I'm out in the sun constantly," she says. "My mom had skin cancer when I was little so I know sun protection is really important."

Hyland says she applies sunscreen every day, and her go-to is Hawaiian Tropic Island Sport because it's moisturizing, smells like vacation and stands up to her busy lifestyle. "You can go take a hike or go to a yoga class outside or ride your bike -- I can't ride a bike, but people can ride their bikes -- and not have to worry about reapplying because it's so water- and sweat-resistant," she says. And while it may not be printed on the bottle, I'm pretty sure it's also bounce resistant.
